Eligibility

The LINC Home Study program is open to adult immigrants over the age of 17, who have not yet acquired Canadian citizenship. Students must have at least a CLB benchmark of 3 for listening and speaking, and a CLB benchmark of 2 for reading and writing. They must be willing to work independently for at least 10 - 12 hours a week, be self-motivated and be willing to take charge of their own learning.

The LINC Home Study Program is available to:

• Permanent Residents of Canada,

• Protected persons including ;

  • Persons determined by the Immigration and Refugee Board to be Convention Refugees.
  • Persons determined by the Immigration and Refugee Board to be Persons in need of protection.
  • Persons for whom the minister has allowed an application for protection.
  • Persons determined to be Convention Refugees, or persons in similar circumstances.
• Persons in Canada whose applications for Permanent Resident status are being processed in Canada.

• Individuals who have been assessed according to CLBA guidelines.

Who is not eligible:

• Some students are not be eligible for the program,

• Canadian Citizens,

• VISA / International students etc.
